Each one of you as ALA members makes a difference in the lives of our veterans, military, and their families every day.
In addition to helping those we serve, you can help the Auxiliary as an organization by completing the ALA member survey. It’s open to every ALA member, and I can’t stress enough how important it is for all of you to participate. Your voice matters! Your feedback will help us better tailor programs toward members’ wants, identify opportunities for improvement, and bring about ideas to help grow the Auxiliary. This is for all levels of the organization.
I’ve completed the survey and can attest that it will take you only about 15 minutes to finish — not long at all! You can answer the questions while you are having your morning cup of coffee or during commercial breaks of your favorite TV show. If you end up getting busy while trying to take the survey (because life happens!), you can return and complete the survey with your member ID number.
Speaking of that, your member ID number is used for verification purposes to make sure you take the survey only once. Your response will remain confidential. Not sure what your member ID number is? It is a 9-digit number starting with either a 3 or a 1 and can be found on your membership card, the mailing label of your Auxiliary magazine, or by logging in to your MyAuxiliary profile at www.ALAforVeterans.org.
This is your organization — own it! Share what you like, what you don’t like, ideas you have for change or improvement, and any other thoughts you may have about the ALA. We want to hear it all. The information gathered from this survey will help the ALA mission in the long run. Your answers will assist the organization to continually improve so we can be here to for our veterans, military, and their families for another 100-plus years.
If you have any questions about the survey, please reach out to National Headquarters staff who can help answer those questions, so you are able to successfully complete the survey.
If you have members in your unit without internet access, or they just need a little help completing the survey, I encourage you to bring your smartphone, laptop, or tablet to your next unit meeting for members to use. Or swing by their house after work, after church, after the grocery store, etc., and help them complete the survey. I thank you in advance for helping your fellow members and continuing our Service Not Self legacy!
I appreciate everything you do for the American Legion Auxiliary, and I hope you’ll take part in this survey and make an impact with your voice!
