The American Legion Auxiliary has been dedicated to serving veterans, military, and their families for nearly 100 years. Although things have changed since the American Legion Auxiliary’s founding in 1919, one thing to remain the same is members’ unwavering commitment in honoring those who serve.
In 2017, the National Executive Committee approved the purchase of a building, which will serve as a permanent facility for the American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters. This is the first time the organization has owned property in its nearly century-long history.
As we settle into our new home, the American Legion Auxiliary will be rolling out the Leaving a Legacy campaign, allowing you to play an important role in preserving the ALA’s heritage. By making a $200 donation, you will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to personalize your very own engraved 4×8” brick paver. The paver will be prominently placed at the entrance of the building for visitors to see. In exchange for your contribution, your paver will help ensure our worldwide mission of service to veterans, military, and their family endures. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to honor a significant veteran, servicemember, or ALA member in your life.
LIMITED OPPORTUNITY — Only 1,200 bricks will be available starting Jan. 7, 2019, until March 29, 2019, or until the bricks sell out. For a donation of $200, you can customize your brick with up to three lines of text, with up to 18 characters on each line. Pictured are examples of acceptable engravings.
Starting Jan. 7, 2019, donations can be made at www.ALAFoundation.org with a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit/debit card. Donations will also be accepted via check if an order form is included. Those can be found at www.ALAFoundation.org.
American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters will not be accepting donations prior to Jan. 7, 2019. Any checks received before that date will be returned or destroyed.
